A Surge of Positivity

Yes, I'm actually feeling positive. I read somewhere that if you reflect upon just three good things of that day before you sleep, it makes you feel better. If you write it down, it will make you feel even more positive.
The idea behind writing down things that made you feel good on the said day is to make you relive those good moments. When your mind is focused on the good, reminded of the good, it begins to believe in the good. And trust me, I did that and well, it's worked. I have been more positive in these 25 days than I had been last year.
Ah well, so much for the name of my blog.
I really don't know if what I say makes any sense to anyone. I tend to drift in and out of random thoughts. The typical ADHD type of behaviour. But it isn't that bad, you know. It just goes to show that I have a lot in my mind that I am dying to articulate. And that delivery of thoughts might get messed up. There is an idea everywhere. You just need to see it. Maybe read between the line (Maybe that will help).
But just to clarify, I'm not promoting any satanic cult or probing you towards the dark side. I'm just sharing my thoughts, which linger in and around the grey area. I won't say there isn't any black or white. I'm just saying it's up to you. Either you can look at the grey, the black or the white. Your perception really does make a difference.
What you perceive is what you believe. And belief, as many have seen in the past, can demolish buildings; moving mountains might be next on the list.
Well, let me know if this made you think.

Cheesy Words, or Motivation? You decide....

One thing I learned in the last few days is that I fucking love writing. I'd die before I give up. I've risked my future to pursue my writing, and I hope that it would work out well.
Sometimes, treading in darkness can show you things in a much different perspective. I'm experiencing that at a very personal level. I see everyone going with the crowd while they laugh, mock and look down upon me for my decisions. People will never understand.
I'd die before I prove them right. And I know I'm not the only one here. There are many whose dreams are shattered by the critics. I say fuck them all.
Of course, it's easier said than done. Many people quit, but how many are actually working towards it? Before you take any rash decision, understand that once taken a step forward, it'll be a million times harder just to undo that. Tread wisely.

Strange Ending

The wind gushed and the clouds roared. The weatherman said a storm was rising. If he did not reach home on time, he might never. His work had ended earlier; his boss was more paranoid than anyone else. However, his boss had a driver and a car waiting to serve his needs. His colleagues ran just like him, but their buses were frequent. His bus had a terrible frequency.
People were closing shop, others were hurrying home. The homeless tried to look for a tentative shelter. The animals were nowhere to be seen. Smart bitches, he thought. He looked around at the systematic chaos that presented itself. Religion had forgotten its enmity and rivals helped secure each other. Everyone seemed to be prepared, except him.
The road was emptier than before. Isolation seemed to be creeping in. He had to leave.
He decided that he would spend some extra bucks and travel by rickshaws. But as every Indian knows, these bastards never listen.
One rickshaw rushed away. He grew frantic. The skies began to wet the earth.
Another ignored his cries. He abused passionately.
A third said an unjustified no. He kicked the rickshaw as it sped away.
The fourth one's breaks failed.
The isolated road gathered pedestrians to help him, but he realised that the storm wouldn't be his bane. The people carried him to a shelter, an ambulance was called for. The driver of the rickshaw was beaten for his faults. The clouds roared and the rain had finally begun its heavy downpour.
He was convinced that his end would come. Either by the storm, or the accident.
Death had a strange way to find things. A mosquito landed on his wound.

Mental Clutter and Demons

Demons scream with a chill in their voice. Their silence is the loudest one can hear. But why is it that we care only for the babies that cry in the middle of the night? What makes them hungry? Biology?
For all I know, all the sciences that I see are demons waiting for their time to shine. Science has evolved to a level where it is common sense to most of us. Yet, there are large populations that benefit not from the developments of the rich.
Demons at war?
Angels, they say are always looking at us with a happy heart, protecting us. But what about the demons that are so intensely involved with our lives? Why are we so afraid of them? Do we really fear our demons, while looking up to those that rarely cast a blessing upon us?
What kind of god would want to kill non-believers? Maybe they're just people that have accepted their demons. This might seem too satanic to people, but it's only a vague thought out of my random mind.
Maybe I should change the name of my blog.
Nah, my demons won't let me.

Mother Darkness?

He looks at us, she looks at us. Mother darkness has been upset with all this talk of light. Father light was birthed by the mother of us all, and through this rose our world. But who is to say for God simply said 'Let there be a world' and poof; Brahma thought and his thoughts manifested, as they continue to do till the end of eternity.
Almost every religion will tell you a creationist story in their own version, but nobody mentions mother darkness. She was the first to exist. Are we so ignorant that we forget our past? But then again, the big bang is only a theory.
Who is to say what truly happened. Devdutt Pattanaik has rightly said, "...Within infinite myths lies the eternal truth. Who sees it all? Varuna has but a thousand eyes. Indra, a hundred. You and I, only two."

Apocalyptic

The sinister mask of death that stares at my face with hollow eyes follows me beyond every checkpoint of my horrible nightmare. There must be a reason why the iron tree that I saw burning did not melt. Maybe it was the miniature particles around it that the birds dropped. All life shall end. Every angel shall be castrated and every demonic flame extinguished.
When light and dark copulate to populate our wildest fears, that is when we know the end is near. The gaseous residues that burn our world, the chemical warfare that we induce unto our own, that will be the end of us.
Paper wealth is nothing compared to the riches that Mother Earth was robbed off.
This is only but the first cycle of our nightmarish sleep.
Be wary my friend.

Mistakes

Why is it that we all make mistakes? Why is it, that we never want to learn from the mistakes of others? Is it so important for each and every one of us to make the same mistakes by ourselves and learn the lesson that someone so dear to us was trying to teach us?
Is it our ego that marks upon our decisions or is it our emotions? What controls them more? The Ego , the Emotions, or is it something more?
Why is it that every time we mug up for an exam, we remember most? Why is it that we get anxious over numbers that are imaginary and devised only to prove our worth, but mean nothing?
It is all a pretentious farce!
We live in a world that teaches us to live life in a particular way. There are rights and there are wrongs. No subjective viewpoints. That is the way the world functions. It is not by observation, but by being told. Then why, do we not listen to the more important things in life?
A blogpost is no place to find enlightenment, but you never know, what may strike you as inspirational. If I can find inspiration in a dead puppy, you can find it in a candy wrapper. Who is to say?
And what if we make mistakes? Are we wasting our time? Yes, probably! When we know it's a mistake and yet we pursue it. That is utter bullshit. Learn to live and not waste time. And learn the difference between recreation, leisure and wasting time too. You may be making a mistake in choosing the wrong option.

A Thought on Life

I was once told, that no matter what you do in life, you must always be the best at it. Even if you end up being a mere gardener, be that gardener that people would pay craploads to hire. And they would not hire you, they would request for your services. That is the kind of person you should be, that is the kind of professional you should be!If you cook, be that cook who can overcharge for his skills and never be questioned. Be that filmmaker whose expertise can never be questioned and whose work can seldom be criticised. Be that person who works not for other people, but whom other people wish to work with.Professions are only a way to spend your time, earn your money and waste your life in. But if you do something you love, something that doesn't feel like a chore and something that can give you and your loved ones enough time and resources to live a happy life, that is all you need. At least, that is all that I believe you need.Who needs a sports bike or a super car? You can walk, spread less pollution, and live healthy. Who needs a housekeeper? Learn to wash your own dishes. If you weren't brought up in that kind of environment, make sure you make that kind of environment when you come in control of your life. After all, your life is under your control. Your influence is what will shape the lives of the people around you.To be happy, choose what you must, but choose wisely.

The Dog

Ever wonder what dogs think of when they stare at the sun?
Their lost families, their old days of fun?
The time they young and in size they were small,
Protected and loved, a litter after all!
And then one by one, each lost its way,
One adopted for love, another given away,
Some find homes, others remain astray
Like that dog who stares
At the ending of another day
But is the day at end?
Or is it her life?
The sun fades away
The day turns to night...

A Reflection of Perception

I bet you all have read something in your lives. A card, a TV newsflash, a newspaper and of course, a book. We read this magnificent and complex combination of 26 letters that bring out the most beautiful of emotions and vivid pictures in our minds. A simple 26 letters that are placed in several sequences that mean something to someone, yet differ in their effect.
What is beautiful to some is pain for another What is trash to one is another's treasure. What is a murder for one is redemption for another. Perceptions guide us everywhere. Through the Light that burns us and through the Darkness thats haunts us, it is our perception that makes us who we are.
Life is but a Reflection of our Perception.
And this reflection of life in the beauty if Art is what makes Art soulful. If you must refute that art is made without soul, then there is nothing wrong, for that is the way your soul perceives the reflections of every other soul that passes by.
Simply put, a lovely picture is only lovely if you believe it to be lovely. For others, it may be but a pathetic explosion of colours.
Reflect upon what you Perceive and watch how your Perceptions have Refections on your Soul.

Utilitarian Nugatory

Ever contemplated over the convulsions of a contorting whale that swims in the simmering serenity of the violent waves of an element so beyond the existential understandings of human psyche that the planetary alignments alter the affections and afflictions while vaporising the valiant viles of our repulsive refractory residual senses that are but a part of what we call the whole. Sensibility is but the legitimate tag stamped upon what is understood by the most shallow parts of a deathly abyss that is the mind of human vivisect. To understand the very psychological patterns that we as humans seem to exhibit, try and understand that whale that was once mentioned not so long ago but a few lines prior and you will be mesmerized how senselessly stupendous this all seems, yet your elitist ego will want to find meaning in this piece so bizarre yet so cluttered with random abrasions of thoughts and ideas that may or may not hold a riddle of the eternal truth that we all wish to find but never know where to start looking from.

Existential

What is it that keeps us going on?
Is it the curiosity of the next moment?
Or is it the reward we have been dying to achieve?
The springing happiness or the end of sorrow,
The lively smiles of long dead ones!
What is it that makes us live in this orderly chaos?
What is it that we tread on in light when our goals lie in darkness?
Why must we live on terms of other people?
When we are the only ones who know ourselves the most!
What is it that is running in your head right now?
Is it about the Life we live?
Or is it about the Death we desire?

This Goddamned Heat!!!

So the heat seems to be rising here. As I walked in the burning daylight of noon today, with sweat sliding down my ass crack, there seemed to be so many people around that probably were going through the same, but seemed to be perfectly okay with the heat.
Why is this heat burning our skin? Global warming? Or do you think God was freezing up there and probably raised the temperature cause he felt like it?
Either ways its not the guy in the sky who is affected, it's us. It is our skin that develops cancer and our life that melts here. The profuse sweating in my boxers only indicate that the world is fucked. But then again, who knows? We might be just a few years away from the next Ice Age.
Now, if we do face an Ice Age, do you believe that God will ever change thermostat of his heavenly bachelor pad?(I have never heard of God being married. Of course some Hindu Gods are married but there are too many of them and not all the readers will understand the context.)
Speaking of Hinduism, there is a shlok in the Bhagvat Gita:

To set it all into basics, God, Lord Vishnu (the protector) always works to bring the world into balance. All his Avatars, have been to set things right, to undo the wrong and restore Dharma. So is this what we are facing now?
To restore the Dharma, we must we face the terrible heat?

Well, simply said, 'As you sow, so shall you reap.' We have raped Mother Earth of her resources and now we face Global Warming as a result of the chaos that is but our own creation.
Now, the question is, will we wipe that sweaty ass of ours and go back to not giving a fuck?
Or will we try to do something. I don't know what I will be doing. I made a blogpost (a pretty long one at that.).
What will you do?

Ranting on...

So there is something that is happening in my life, which we all have to suffer through. Exams. Now I did not think I would be ranting so soon, considering just a few days back I had a rant post. But nonetheless, I was going through my notes and I realised that I have so much of hatred here.No don't get me wrong, education is very important, but does it have to be so mundane boring and so fucking irritating. Since childhood we are force-fed this fear of failure so we can try and buckle up to compete with people in doing things that don't even remotely interest us. I mean, I have no clue what I did learning about electronic circuits and the fundamentals of electronics for two years when I know that I'm gonna end up doing something in the arts field. We all suffer because of this farce of an education system.
We MUG up.
We don't learn useful things, we only learn how to score more than other people.
No matter how cheesy-as-fuck 3 Idiots was, it did make sense.
The education system is fucked up. And It isn't anyone else's fault. Its us. We want this corporate monotony in our life. For some godforsaken reason, we're afraid to feel what we should, do what we love and be what we want.It isn't easy doing what you dream to do, but honestly, if you try to move away from the set of ground rules set by some dickhead with a degree, you'll realise that the degree is just a disposable piece of paper with your name on it. It says you completed a course, but what about everything you learnt? Nobody can know unless they know who you are!
As for exams, which is what led me to this rant, they again are a farce. Another mockery to see what you are, make you vulnerable to peer pressure. It is like that quote by Einstein, "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."
This is what They are doing to us. We should focus on things that we are good at.
To end this very ambiguous and vague rant, I would like to share a link to one of my favourite songs of all time. 'Sanitarium (Welcome Home)' by Metallica.

Indulgences

There is one thing that we all have in our lives, one thing that we all suffer through. Indulgence. We all indulge in various addictions, big or small, that cause us harm irreparable. Why must we do so? Is the high really that great? Is it worth the million tears that we will never see? Is it worth the suffering we impose on ourselves and our loving spectators who try so firmly to convince us to give up, but fail terribly?
To be true, we are masters of our own lives and we have the right to choose what is good and what is bad for us. But what can it be in that little cancer-stick that attracts such a big crowd of passive suicidal maniacs? Well, I cannot say for I have personally stayed away from these cravings, as much as I can. I won't lie that I haven't given in to these, but yes, I have managed to keep true to myself, not letting them take a hold of me. I have seen many and more fall prey to them. But there are those who are strong enough to refuse the prolonged torture they might have inflicted upon themselves.
Of course, this issue will keep going on for ages and eons to come. It is for you to decide what is right and what is wrong. Be it a mild sugar addiction to a heavy crack craving, it all needs to be kept under check. But this again, is subject to individual perception. Do what the right thing is, or fall deep into the lustful pit of torments. It is up to you. For yourself, and for anyone who you love.

Darkness

There seems to be something off about the world.
Something I can't quite comprehend.
Maybe its just me.
Maybe its just everybody.
Who knows.
We all live in the dark of all things.
Might as well love it there.

Demons

We all have demons inside of us. Demons that haunt our lively days, and lie eagerly under our beds for us to creep into their hazardous darkness. A darkness that we only see in our dreams as they, in their abstract and bizarre way, guide our epileptic subconscious from its Penrose stairs to its Belvedere. Children have these demons. From their childhood till their puberty, from their adulthood till their death beds, these demons will haunt you all for all that this physical life holds for you. But what are these Demons?
Wights?
Monsters?
Spirits?
Energies?
Whatever they be, they are a personal entity, a deity that only an individual can experience. So, shoo away, or embrace your demons, for they are mere parts of the Greater You. Who knows, what wonders these Dark things may have kept hidden under their cave under your bed?

For those who are unintentionally ignored....

With the backing of the truck you hear a radiant and disturbing noise. The reverse alarm that sends us wondering who even bothered to invent such a thing? But you know what? When you see an ignorant truck driver backing onto a poor little animal, say a dog, cat or maybe even their little ones, you'll understand what the alarm means to some. "Back off losers. Or I'm going to run you over." Be it an adult or a little kid, the smashing of the skull and the exposing of the entrails are nothing to the truck driver who probably won't understand his mistake, leaving behind a bloody wheel track for mourners and apathetic by standers to know of his route. But was his ignorance, intentional? Probably not. This is the very crux of the idea, to be taken for granted. The dead are taken for granted. The living are taken for granted. Be ignorant, or aware, you too will do it to someone. Just make sure that they don't own a truck, or any other means of murder. But don't worry. They probably won't even tell you about it. They love you too much. So the big question: is it Their fault, or Ours?
Whatever your answer is, it may or may not be right. There is only one answer. So do the 'Right' thing. Not what you feel is right. This post is for every person in my life who I have unintentionally ignored. It wasn't intentional. It is just a sick part of life. Maybe someday I will learn to manage it well. Maybe I too need some sort of a siren. For now, I just have this blog, trying to reach out to all the ignored ones. What will you do for your set? Keep thinking till I go live my life.

The Perspicacity of the Night

There is something ghastly about the time that flies in the dead of night. It is during the hour of the ghosts that life can take simple turns of mental and spiritual experiences. As you lay writhing in the numbness of inexplicable pain, you wake up sweating from the chilly horrors that populate your dreams only to be left wondering about the polarity of the situation. Is it the light of souls that made your life flash through the sleeping pupils of dreams? Or was it the wailing of an undead spirit, screaming to be heard? Is any of this mental state, psychological? Or just another episode of the night, exaggerated by nothing but your mind and subconscious dreams pioneering a new chapter in the coming of a new day, in the dying of an old body and the birth of another microcosm of unexplained lifeless celestial kingdoms governed by that which cannot be comprehended by our toddler like minds? Whatever it be, it is your experience and for you to unravel.

Valentine's Day

I believe that all couples must be in heaven today for it is the day of the black roses' legitimate brother's day. I don't know if you can make sense of the previous statement but any greasy and cheesy nut can understand, it's valentines day. What a farce! The media has for sure hyped up this lovely day, or is it really that lovely? Do you think it is important to show your love just on 14th February? Why not everyday? Go show your love to your beau. Show it everyday. Every moment you can ever steal from life. Wear a condom.
