A Surge of Positivity

Yes, I'm actually feeling positive. I read somewhere that if you reflect upon just three good things of that day before you sleep, it makes you feel better. If you write it down, it will make you feel even more positive.
The idea behind writing down things that made you feel good on the said day is to make you relive those good moments. When your mind is focused on the good, reminded of the good, it begins to believe in the good. And trust me, I did that and well, it's worked. I have been more positive in these 25 days than I had been last year.
Ah well, so much for the name of my blog.
I really don't know if what I say makes any sense to anyone. I tend to drift in and out of random thoughts. The typical ADHD type of behaviour. But it isn't that bad, you know. It just goes to show that I have a lot in my mind that I am dying to articulate. And that delivery of thoughts might get messed up. There is an idea everywhere. You just need to see it. Maybe read between the line (Maybe that will help).
But just to clarify, I'm not promoting any satanic cult or probing you towards the dark side. I'm just sharing my thoughts, which linger in and around the grey area. I won't say there isn't any black or white. I'm just saying it's up to you. Either you can look at the grey, the black or the white. Your perception really does make a difference.
What you perceive is what you believe. And belief, as many have seen in the past, can demolish buildings; moving mountains might be next on the list.
Well, let me know if this made you think.

Revelatory Dream

I fell asleep in the stars one night,
When I couldn’t seem to fight,
The urges of the previous day,
To kill them all, If I may!

The crows caw, the mice all squeal,
Desecrate our life’s show reel!
And murder every dream they say,
For good days are always yesterday!

Our perceptions are all but pale,
Hazed out by that branded ale,
Made by TV sets in every room,
Media bastions, mediocrity bloom!

And as I type from memories,
On this machine made overseas,
I realise we’re all but dead,
In a time that has come not yet.

A Reflection of Perception

I bet you all have read something in your lives. A card, a TV newsflash, a newspaper and of course, a book. We read this magnificent and complex combination of 26 letters that bring out the most beautiful of emotions and vivid pictures in our minds. A simple 26 letters that are placed in several sequences that mean something to someone, yet differ in their effect.
What is beautiful to some is pain for another What is trash to one is another's treasure. What is a murder for one is redemption for another. Perceptions guide us everywhere. Through the Light that burns us and through the Darkness thats haunts us, it is our perception that makes us who we are.
Life is but a Reflection of our Perception.
And this reflection of life in the beauty if Art is what makes Art soulful. If you must refute that art is made without soul, then there is nothing wrong, for that is the way your soul perceives the reflections of every other soul that passes by.
Simply put, a lovely picture is only lovely if you believe it to be lovely. For others, it may be but a pathetic explosion of colours.
Reflect upon what you Perceive and watch how your Perceptions have Refections on your Soul.

That Pungent Image

Some things just happen to go by
Detailed they be but yet miss our eye

You see, some times, beauty lies in the weirdest of places. I was in the Khar Danna slums last week, working on a project, simultaneously trying to finish my college photography project. I’m no pro at working with photography, my best lies in my mind and my typing machine. However, this one picture is something that has caught me for a while. How detailed can a slum setting be? How colourful. Yet, to us, our perception limits us only to see the dullness and poverty. Of course that is what you will see emphasised here too, but take your mind off the conventional thinking and try to see the intricate beauty that this lovely, pungent image holds.
